A Flood Control Permit may be required for work or activities within the Flood Control District’s right-of-way, including construction, utility work, land use or other activities affecting flood control facilities.

National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System

The NPDES section administers the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program for the County of San Bernardino and the San Bernardino County Flood Control District.

Transportation Permits

A Transportation Permit may be required for work or activities within a County road or public right-of-way, including construction, excavation, utility work, special events, moving or tree removal.

Established to address the Department’s needs relating to stormwater quality and environmental compliance for County Transportation, Flood Control, and Solid Waste Management capital improvement and maintenance projects, under applicable federal and state laws.
