The San Bernardino County Public Works Department has completed the Barstow Skyline East Overlay project in the Barstow Area. The project was funded with the Measure “I” Local Streets Program – North Desert Subarea funds. The project consisted of pavement rehabilitation and mill and overlay of 1.2 miles of roads located on Balsa Avenue, Banyan Street, Fern Drive, Rose Lane, Oleander Place, Iris Drive, Hemlock Avenue, and Hawthorne Drive in the Barstow area. The project aligns with the County and the Chief Executive Officer’s goals and objectives of ensuring the development of a well-planned, balanced, and sustainable County by preserving and improving the structural integrity of existing road surfaces.
