The San Bernardino County Public Works Department has completed the Phelan Road Phase 1 project in the Phelan Area. The project construction contract cost was $7,472,216 and was funded with Measure “I” Local Streets Pass-Through Program – Victor Valley Subarea funds, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund program funds, and Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenue. The work, in general, consists of milling; pulverize; rubberized chip seal; overlay; ADA ramps update; striping and traffic signal installation and doing other work appurtenant thereto. The project aligns with the County and the Chief Executive Officer’s goals and objectives of ensuring the development of a well-planned, balanced, and sustainable County by preserving and improving the structural integrity of existing road surfaces and providing Safety, Health and Social service needed for County Residents.
