The San Bernardino County Public Works Department has completed the Blake Street and Other Roads – Phase II project in the Rialto Area. The project construction contract cost was $1,610,000 and was funded with the participation of Senate Bill 1, County Infrastructure General Fund Reserves and Available reserves from the County Service Area 70 . The project consisted of pavement rehabilitation and other various road treatments of approximately 2.92 miles of road in the Rialto area. Additional work included sidewalk repair, curb and gutter installation, existing curb ramps replacement and reconstruction in accordance with current design standards and pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, and installation of streetlight conduit. The project aligns with the County and the Chief Executive Officer’s goals and objectives of ensuring the development of a well-planned, balanced, and sustainable County by preserving and improving the structural integrity of existing road surfaces and providing Safety, Health and Social Service needs of the County Residents.
