Big Bear Alpine Zoo welcomed members for a special Members Night on September 19, giving supporters an opportunity to experience the Zoo after hours and enjoy a closer look at the people, animals, and work that make the facility unique.
The evening included special animal ambassador encounters, complimentary food and refreshments, and behind-the-scenes opportunities that gave members a different perspective on the Zoo’s daily operations and animal care programs. Guests were able to spend time in a more relaxed setting, connect with Zoo staff and supporters, and learn more about the important work taking place throughout the facility.
Members Night is designed not only as a special thank-you to Zoo members, but also as a way to strengthen the connection between the Zoo and the community that supports it. Memberships help sustain the Zoo’s mission and provide ongoing support for animal care, rehabilitation, education, and conservation efforts.
The event was hosted in partnership with the Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, whose continued support helps expand opportunities for community engagement and enhances programs benefiting the animals and visitors alike.
Special events like Members Night provide a meaningful way for supporters to see firsthand how their involvement contributes to the Zoo’s work while also creating a memorable experience for families and longtime members.
Big Bear Alpine Zoo appreciates everyone who attended and continues to support the Zoo through membership, volunteerism, donations, and community involvement.
