The Union Pacific Railroad and the Department of Public Works will close a 0.25-mile segment of Phelan Road to repair and replace damaged railroad tracks intersecting Phelan Road. The closure is scheduled to last from 7:00 AM on Saturday, June 1st to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 2nd. The location of the track work is between White Road and Sunny Vista Road. The detour route, designed to keep motorists on county-maintained paved roads, spans 25 miles. We understand the detour is not ideal, but it provides motorists with the safest route on surface streets.
