the San Bernardino County Public Works Department is proud to announce that it has received 15 awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for its outstanding achievements in various public works projects.

The department was recognized for its innovative work in a variety of areas, including:

  • Infrastructure Projects: Ayala Park Wi-Fi Project, Beach Cleanup at Big Bear Lake, Big Bear Ranch Pickleball Renovation Project, Birch Creek Culvert Crossing, CSA 70 R-40 Upper North Bay Road Chip Seal Project, Joshua Tree Community Center and Sunburst Park, Mackay Park Restroom Improvements, and Senate Bill 1383 – Compliant Self-Haul Exemption Program.
  • Master Planning: FCD Master Plan Update.
  • Environmental Initiatives: FCD Snow Depth Monitoring Stations.
  • Community Engagement and Collaboration: 2023 Winter Storm Response Public Communications, San Bernardino County Community Clean Up Program, Fly a Kite Day with Supervisor Baca, Jr., Enhancing Senior Communities: A Collaborative Partnership at Ayala Park, and Snow Removal Reimbursement Program.
