The San Bernardino County Public Works has completed the San Bernardino Avenue Phase 1 Improvement Project from Cherry Avenue to Elm Avenue in the Fontana Area. The project construction costs were $1,179,182 and was funded with the Department existing Discretionary General Funding allocation for the annual Maintenance of Effort requirement. The work, in general, consists of pavement rehabilitation of approximately 1.26 miles of San Bernardino Avenue including pavement striping and markings and other work appurtenant thereto. This project aligns with the County’s Board of Supervisors’ goals and objectives of ensuring the development well-planned, balanced, and sustainable County and providing for the safety of County residents.
