Sheep Creek Road is one of the main roads within the community of Phelan; approximately 8,000 cars utilize this road each day. The road conditions have deteriorated rapidly after two years of above average precipitation and storm activity. DPW Operations crews applied a thin (less than 1”) overly along 2.30 miles of this 15-mile-long roadway. The thin maintenance overlay is a temporary repair intended to help improve the worst section of Sheep Creek Road until a future rehabilitation project can be planned and budgeted.
